ThatSlowKid's Build
Being in the wholesale car business, I always have my eyes open for nice sports cars with a bit of goodies on them especially S2000s. About 3 weeks ago, this car popped up on the auction and was immediately up for sale. The pictures that were taken by the Copart Auto Auction were no so clear but it was obvious from the tires and the sway bar that the car had been a track car previously. I did not hesitate to purchase it and either keep it for myself or my dad. He is a s2k guy after I have owned so many too haha The damage looked ugly, but I knew it was just a few bits and pieces that need replacement. Here is how I first saw her.
Door, air bags, fender and knuckle but frame looked straight. Cool lets buy it!!
The day she arrived to San Diego, it was raining cats and dogs so I just took delivery of the car and waiting till the next day to go rip the old damaged parts off and here is what she looked after I took them out.
The door after it was taken off, the skin is just ripped off like a mofo. hahaa
The guy didnt like anything vibrating or rattling, thats for sure
The bottom hinge bolts had snapped right off luckily upon the impact and caused no damage to the frame.
Needs a little bit of pulling on this part. The door was pushed into it
Dent on the 1/4 Panel,
Overall after the she is cleaned up from the damaged parts ;... Notice the Hard dog bar?
Took the wheel off to replace the knuckle and here is how the tire looked. Any clue as the where the car was? Laguna Secca may be since the car was from Vallejo, CA!! Hmmmmm
Discovering more goodies!!
This guy is down. TRC3's are not the strongest of the bunch. Bent so ordered a new one.
Temporarily put the new parts on it since it's been rainy all week. Didn't want it to get wet while in storage. Doesn't look too bad. Front end lines up perfectly. Door has to be aligned with the 1/4 panel etc
Hellaflush and sunk stance at the same time
Lines up perfectly other than the top of the hood.
Day 2 of working on her and took her straight to the body shop. No time wasted and he told me to pull her straight on the frame machine to make sure everything is straight and much easier for him to line everything up while its there anyways.
DAT KULO!!
Time to start!!
..
Needs to be pulled about 3-5mm here.
The reason why the door doesn't line up
Other side, for sh$$ts and giggles
That's it for now, will keep the thread posted to keep track of the work I do to her. 28th of December she will be at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, come say hi

Thank you sir!! No this one is surely a keeper. I am rebuilding the other S to keep as a daily for a bit then sell. This one is going to be the track toy. Better than taking my M3 to the track. Won't need a tow truck on the way back
Thank you everyone else for kind words, will keep this thread updated
