Default S2000 Wiring Alternator/Starter

As per my hundreds of previous posts I am still in the process of installing a used F20 into my AP1. I am very close to being done I have done almost all of the wiring but the wiring to the starter and alternator. I am concerned with this very much because I am unsure of which wires go where. These wires are the Black wires which are put on the bolts and then held on with nuts. I have two of these, one from the wiring harness and one I guess from the battery itself. Which one goes on the starter and on the alternator? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Alternator has to have a lead from the post going out, to the battery to charge it. So the wire going to the battery is for the alternator and the other wire on the harness feeds battery voltage to the starter once the ignition switch signals a start.

The problem with this is that the cable with the wiring harness has two plugs. One with a post and a cable. If you say that this post goes into the starter then the cable cannot plug into the alternator because of the distance. The cable from the battery must go to the starter not the alternator.

starter is a loop and alternator is a clip.... alternator does not require a loop bc everything is wired to the clip

Got it! The loop on the alternator is a ground. Right?
