Default My rear diff build in progress

Am in the middle of doing the 4,77 final drive on my s2000 rear diff, Am stripping it right down cleaning, powder coating and replace every bearing, and seals. redline diff oil will be put in So it will run sweet a nut,
The removal of the ring and pinion was pretty straight forward the hard bit is the fitting, have to be accurate to 7 microns or it will whine
backlash settings and preload setting all have to be bang on
Honda bearings and seals prices are mental

Shinny Took some scrubbing

Lsd housing cleaning

4.77 pinion bearings to removed and replace with a thinker stack height one

Size difference 4.77 lower of the 2

Dave, good idea getting a specialist to set it up. It can be very tricky. Andy at Veysport did mine and its been perfect.

When I rebuilt my diff, I got it wrong and couldn't have got it right at the time because I didn't have the correct tools.

Assemble it yourself by all means and then send it off for backlash and friction settings.

I also ended up taking my ATB to bits

Thank guys,

MB I am going to give them a bell and see what they would like me to do either build it up or send it in bits, Much did it cost to get them to set it up (if you dont me asking) What gear did you go for ?

Thanks Raz, Where you from, I watched all you videos lol, Some nice driving and a very well set up S2000 indeed stays completely flat,
