For Sale: Comptech (CT Engineering) Air Intake for 06+ S2000 (updated design)
SOLD
Location: Orange County, CA
Item Description: I have for sale an extremely lightly used Comptech (CT Engineering) intake for the 06+ S2000. This is the updated, fully-closed-top version. I have used this intake for a little more than 1,000 miles. I've never used the filter that came with it, so it is brand new. The reason being is that I installed an AFE cotton filter in its place that is quite a bit larger (and just barely fits in the airbox). I will include both filters. In addition, because I am supremely anal about these things, I sent out the normally-shiny stainless steel hose clamps and airbox lid screws that came with the kit to have them black-nitrided for a very stealth appearance. Nothing is shiny on this kit, it is all (professionally) blacked out! I also, sourced a black silicon hose that was straight instead of the stepped hose (which causes resistance) that is included. The only reason you'll need the stepped hose is if you are running a strut tower brace (which I wasn't), but I'll include the stepped hose as well just in case.
Finally, I have done all the custom dremeling that is required to get the airbox top to fit without rubbing your paint work. This took me over 3 hours to get just right (I'm anal, remember). So take advantage of all my blood, sweat, and tears, and buy this airbox, dammit!
It retails for $369, I'll sell mine for $300 including all the goodies and mods I mentioned.
