exedy Oem clutch disc failure
This exedy oem replacement clutch has many cracked on the disc where the center of the disc house the springs. This car for the most part was not driven very hard. Why did this happen

The clutch was pulled becase the car is geting ready for a high power turbo kit so we planed to replace this clutch with the act hdss. When we pulled the clutch out we found this.

Everyone makes a lemon once in a while. Possibly whatever alloy they were using didn't get mixed properly and ended up being weaker than spec as a result. Exedy is a global brand, they make OEM clutch parts for a lot of auto manufacturers, yours is the exception and not the rule.

Good thing you removed it before the springs launched out of the housing.
Mine gave up on the track and locked up my tranny.
Always get OEM Honda clutch disc than an Exedy "OEM" one.
Compare the two and you'll notice that the housing for the springs on the Honda are far more superior.
