Default Lowering VTEC

I like what numbers he's got here. Curious what he has going in this aside from that intake. VTEC is set to 4K on this it looks like

I fast forward lol nuts he's dyno'd those numbers tho just on those bolt ons. Means lowering VTEC really does a lot.

Well lowering vtec wont help at all with the top end of the power band. That will give good gains in the midrange though

I saw a 15+ bump in midrange hp and tq by tuning and lowering vtec. It really makes the car feel better. The power band looks like a straight line.

Not at all. That is the point of improving the midrange. You don't hurt the top end, you just eliminate the VTEC "jerk" you normally feel at 6000, by making the engagement smooth.

Look at the gernpipe thread and you will see many dyno examples(including mine) of how the resonant hump at 5500 is resolved and how the midrange is improved.

Fuel mileage? I'm at 4k cruising at somewhere around 80mph.
