Roof Mechanism Doesn't Fold Correctly
I spotted on leaving for work this morning that my roof doesn't seem to be folding properly. It goes down but the front bar that sits directly above your head when the roof is in the up position should be tucking under and it's sitting like this...

Is it the elastic straps internally that pull this back so it tucks underneath as I've looked at mine and they're slacker than a whore's downstairs as Simonix has put it

I would say it was the worn elastics, you need something like these http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for...13667474739034

Save your money and lean behind and push the bar down whenever you put the roof down. I still have to do that anyway.

Fixed mine for less than £3...bought some elastic from a haberdashery...added a couple of rivets, and hey presto.
Much better than faffing with the bar every time you open the roof.

How weird!
Mine has always done this since I had my Jack Smiths roof done, I always put it down to a difference in the way he makes his roofs.
I'd love to get this sorted, so no more pushing the bar back!

This is also the bar which tears the roof material as it jams at it's lowest point.
The ends of the bar have blanking grommet which wears, and exposes the 'raggy' end of the tube.
This will eventually wear / tear the roof if not sorted (i.e. replace/adjust the elastic)
You'll see how stressed the roof material is when it jams up.
My first S2000 was fine (13 year old roof was perfect) but my 'new' one has this problem (shortly to be fixed).

All modify seem to be doing is using a piece of piano wire (available at any model shop)to go into the holes in the pop rivets to hold Loftust's knicker elastic in place, with an extra turn around the bar to hold it in place.
