Default Southern Oregon Exploration drive

............. Southern Oregon Moutain Drive

............. aka "The Road Less Traveled"

.................................................. .

Saturday September 14th 2013
Officially 300 miles and 7 hours of drive time.

THIS DRIVE WILL BE STARTING IN EUGENE -AND-
DEPARTING BY 8AM - MAKE APPROPRIATE PLANS!!

…
It had to come - the LAST drive of our 2013 Summer Season!

What a final hurrah to go out on too! This is a great opportunity to travel on a route we have NEVER done before!

Our travels are going to wow you with a trip through some very obscure mountain roads that rarely get traveled and have some great technical and scenic driving!

THIS IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!

We Begin in Eugene and take a short jaunt down our favorite interstate. That wont last long as we soon break off into the southern coastal mountains and start to experience something special.

We will disappear for a couple of hours into the less-traveled areas and get to play on some relatively untouched roads in the middle of nowhere!

Better make sure your tires are fresh!!!

But naturally after a while, you're going to get hungry,

so we will make our way to the coast for a lunch stop and to rest, recoupe and remember what we just experienced.

Then we will make our way back inland on some of the better highways our lovely state has to offer.

When alll is said and done, we say it's all over when we reach where everyone is free to break off and head north back to Portland at their leisure.

Don’t miss out on this one!

...................S2Ki Oregon - The fun starts here! ...

On the off chance the weather looks unfavorable, we will reschedule for the following weekend, September 21st. If that weekend is also rainy, the drive will be canceled and we will move to our winter D&D events.
(lets hope that isn't necessary!)

Note:This is the Oregon S2000 Owners Forum. As such, our drives are exclusively for S2000s and their owners in Oregon and S.W. Washington.

Our drives are not open to the general public, which includes those who used to own an S2000, hope to own one, those with similar cars, or those who think the Drive we've put together sounds fun and would like to tag along, etc.

We are not trying to be snobby here, but are trying to clarify what we are about – The fun and adventure of Honda S2000 ownership.

We are going to try and accomodate as many as possible, Hiep.
If it gets large we may simply need to split into two groups for lunch due to limitations on the restaurants ability to handle a big rush but we'll deal with that closer to the date.

One other important bit I want to mention early:

These roads are paved, but they are remote forest access roads and not regularly maintained. This means there are some areas where there is debris that encroaches on the roadway (gravel, leaves, twigs, etc) and cannot always be easily avoided. If this is a major concern for you, make sure to tape up the front of your car for this trip.
