Getting Wide

Ah, the widebody look. A trend that's both beloved and hated by so many. Personally, we like seeing massive, exaggerated fenders covering equally large rolling stock, but that's just us. And if you feel the same way we do, you'll undoubtedly love the many artistic creations from self-taught concept artist Khyzyl Saleem

Soft Spot

Saleem isn't just a talented artist, of course. He's also a hardcore gearhead. And his many creations run the gamut from old school American muscle cars to Japanese machines to modern exotics. But Saleem clearly has a soft spot in his heart for S2000s as well, which is quite clear from his Instagram page.

Attention to Detail

These days, the onslaught of modified S2000s hasn't slowed down one bit. And we come across widebody renderings of these cars quite often. But the difference between Saleem's work and most of the rest is his incredible attention to detail, quality, and the realism of his work.

Big Time Design

Saleem works with a variety of digital tools to render his ideas into reality. That includes Photoshop, 3DS Max, Keyshot and most recently, Corona Renderer. Saleem has also worked for Electronic Arts in the past, designing cars for the company's Need for Speed franchise.

Bring It to Life

One of Saleem's NFS creations, the Polestar-1 cover car, was actually built in real life for this year's upcoming SEMA Show. And if that doesn't get our hopes up for a real-life version of one of his S2000 creations, well, nothing will.

There's a Chance

After all, the S2000 is one of the few cars that lands on Saleem's Instagram page not just in concept form, but also real-life rides he finds at various meets and shows. It's pretty clear that he has an affinity for the model, so it could really happen, no?

Waiting Game

In the meantime, we suppose we'll just have to wait until some big-time builder comes along, driven by this artistic motivation. Until then, we'll just have to satisfy our widebody S2000 urges by giving Saleem and his amazing talents a follow. And you can do the same by heading over here.
