Epic Run

YouTuber AutoTopNL has driven plenty of fast cars to their limits on Germany's Autobahn in recent years, living the literal dream that most of us would love to emulate. His latest endeavor made us particularly jealous, however, as he was able to pilot a modified Honda S2000 down that famous stretch of highway.

Big Boost

This is no ordinary, stock S2000, but one that has received a bevy of upgrades, including a turbo, that help boost its output to 520 horsepower. That's more than double the car's original output, while torque is also impressive at 376 pound-feet - quite a bit more than the 153 it originally came with.

More Drag

As far as other upgrades go, well, we aren't told about those, but we can see that this roadster has a bevy of aero bits and pieces. That includes a massive rear wing, which won't help the car's top speed by increasing drag, but at least you can't miss it while driving down the road, and it could double as a picnic table if needed.

Killer Combo

Regardless, this turbo'd S2000 sounds amazing and has more than enough power to necessitate abbreviated gear shifts as the car's famous rev counter climbs quickly. Weighing in at less than 3,000 pounds, that's pretty much what one would expect from 520 horsepower.

Impressive Speed

Out on the Autobahn, our driver makes a few high-speed runs as he tries to extract all of the car's performance. That rewards him with a best top speed of 166 mph, which isn't anything crazy, but it's still quite fast on a public highway, regardless.

Other Purposes

Of course, this particular car wasn't necessarily built for top speed purposes - it's more about the acceleration and the handling, as well as the joy of open-air cruising.

Dying Breed

Regardless, the sights and sounds of this video are rather epic, and prove precisely why the S2000 has such a massive following. It's an old school sports car that is sadly just about extinct these days, though there are still plenty of S2000s around for the taking, at least.
