Standing Out

With so many modified S2000s out there in the world, what does one do to make theirs stand out from the crowd? In the case of Aymaan Rehman, his AP2 was already modified, purchased after he sought out cars for sale via a social media post. Luckily, unlike some modified cars, this one was in immaculate condition and he could tell the build quality was impeccable, as he explained in his Super Street feature.

Big Gamble

At the time of purchase, this AP2 was already supercharged and wearing a widebody kit. And despite buying the car sight-unseen, the gamble paid off. Rehman admits that the car was one of the cleanest S2000s he had ever seen, with pristine paint and a host of top-notch parts already installed.

Show and Go

But this is not just a beauty queen - it's also packing serious heat under the hood. There, you'll find goodies including a Science of Speed supercharger, J's Racing header, T1R single-exit exhaust, and ID1000 injectors. With a Hondata FlashPro making it all work together harmoniously, the blow four now pumps out an impressive 460 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque at the wheels.

Rounding It Out

That stout powerplant is backed up by a transmission that's been treated to a Stage II Competition Clutch and OEM AP1 flywheel. It rides on Ohlins Road and Track coils, and stops in a jiffy thanks to Spoon Monobloc calipers, DBA rotors, and SoS brake lines.

Upgraded Cabin

No good build worth its salt can ride around with a stock interior, and this one most certainly isn't. In the cabin lie a host of upgrades including a Mugen V3 steering wheel and shift knob, Recaro Pole Position seats, Takata harnesses, a Hard Dog rollbar, and Innovate Garage digital boost gauges.

Looks that Kill

The exterior contains a nice mix of quality goodies including a Mugen carbon fiber top, an APR carbon wing, canards, and side mirrors, ASM over-fenders, a JDP carbon rear diffuser, CR trunk, Downforce front lip and side diffusers, and custom cut vent hoods. The work of art rolls on a set of Enkei NT03 18" wheels wrapped in Firestone Indy 500 rubber measuring in at 255/35 at all four corners.

Changes Coming

Since purchasing his gem, Rehman hasn't changed a single thing, and we certainly can't blame him. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have a few things in mind for the future. "With all the parts the car has, it's pretty much done...but you know how car guys are, nothing is ever done. A carbon fiber steering wheel is on the way and the wheel setup is going to be changed soon," he told Super Street. And that just goes to show you - no matter how nice a car is, no one can resist the urge to do something different.
