Supercharged Widebody NSX Plays the Temptress

We've seen our fair share of bone stock, low-mile, and otherwise ultra-clean first-gen NSXs for sale lately. But what if you want to go full JDM without hacking up one of those nice rides? Well, now you can just buy this wild, widebodied wonder up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.

Show Pony

So how does a car like this come about, you ask? Well, apparently, the first owner was sponsored by Endless Brakes of Japan. So he commissioned a boatload of work to make this NSX a full-on show rig.

One of Two

That process started with the car's BSM widebody kit, which is reportedly just one of two ever produced. The other supposedly resides in Tokyo to this day.

Full Custom

The kit leaves virtually zero body panels untouched, gracing the NSX with a roof scoop, vented side skirt extensions, exposed headlights, a rear wing, quad round taillights, and side-view mirrors which are attached to the A-pillars.

Wild but Practical

It's a wild and unique looking thing, for sure. Underneath, adjustable Zeal coilovers and an air-lift system in the front allow the low machine to clear speed bumps and steep driveways without damaging that precious bodywork.

Surprisingly Tame

As crazy as the outside is, the interior of this NSX is fairly tame. The stock seats are still there, as is the ever-so-cool phone in the center console. But there is a Nardi steering wheel and shift knob, as well as an aftermarket stereo setup for good measure.

Speed Thrills

Lift the hood, and you'll find a host of modifications made to the car's 3.0-liter V6 including a CT Engineering supercharger, ECU tune, exhaust, and Comptech intake. The whole thing is framed nicely by a chassis brace for added effect.

Solid Numbers

This combo is good enough for a dyno-proven 351 horsepower, which is a pretty nice boost in a car like this. Even better, it has just under 40k miles on the odometer, so there's plenty of life left.

Few Problems

Other than a little bit of dust, this custom NSX looks to be in pretty solid condition. The air conditioning was recently repaired, though the brake lamp warning light is currently lit up.

Cup of Tea

It certainly isn't everyone's cup of tea, nor will it ever sell for big bucks, in all likelihood. But we're absolutely loving this one-of-a-kind NSX, and we hope that it finds the loving home it so deserves.
