The Honda roadster is no slouch in that regard, either.

Wicked Quick

As much as we love Honda's F20C and F22C1 inline four-cylinder powerplants - they are two of the greatest engines ever produced, of course - we can't blame some folks for going a different route when it comes time to power their S2000. GM's LS V8 is among the more popular alternatives in that regard, thanks to the fact that it's cheap, easy to find, and capable of churning out massive amounts of power. Case in point - this amazing 2006 Honda S2000 featured in a recent video from That Racing Channel, which is wicked quick thanks to its own LS heart.

Healthy Combo

This particular S2000 has been treated to some domestic muscle with a massive turbo for maximum power, though the owner isn't too keen to give away all of his secrets. What we do know is that the LS under hood utilizes a FuelTech ECU and an LS Force Induction to generate a healthy 1,400 horsepower.

Mighty Quick

Mated to a beefed-up Powerglide transmission, this S2000 easily rips off 8-second passes rocketing down the quarter-mile, which is truly impressive - especially for a small tire car. The current owner purchased it around a year ago and has been racing it ever since, and who can blame him?

No Stripper

What's particularly cool about this car is the fact that unlike many of its rivals, it still has plenty of amenities. The door panels are still in place, and the windows still roll up and down - it's no stripper by any means, though the cars that it's routinely beating up on the track are.

Key Switch

As we can clearly see in the footage provided by That Racing Channel, this unconventional build is quite dominant at the track, beating up on a big block Camaro and everything else that it lines up against. The owner admits that he tried to go the Honda engine route and simply had too many problems at these kinds of power levels, but swapping over to an LS has provided him with nothing but trouble-free racing thus far - in which case we can't blame him for making the switch.
