Another One

It's no secret that low-mile, original S2000s are bringing more and more money these days. The latest example is this stellar one-owner, 25k original-mile 2003 model that recently sold for $37,500 at Bring a Trailer. That's obviously a significant price to pay for such a car, but we have no doubt that in a couple of years, this result will probably seem like a bargain.

One Owner Special

This particular car was purchased new at UAG-Capitol Honda in San Jose, California, and has remained in the possession of the original owner until now. The Sebring Silver Metallic beauty features a black soft top with a contrasting red leather interior, which is a nice combination indeed.

Time Warp

Aside from a scratch on the driver-side fender, this S2000 appears to be in flawless shape on the outside, a testament to the care the first owner took in keeping it factory fresh. It certainly looks like a total time capsule, with shiny paint and perfect wheels, as well as a top that looks brand new.

Stellar Cabin

The same can be said for the interior, which has but two flaws - an alarm system that isn't quite working properly, and a mark on the passenger-side plastic. Otherwise, everything inside the cabin looks like brand new.

No Wear

The seats don't even look like they've ever been sat in, though we obviously know that isn't the case. Regardless, we couldn't spot any notable bolster wear on the driver's side seat, which is typical on these cars.

Tidy Bay

Pop the hood, and you'll find more of the same. The engine bay could use a bit of detailing but is otherwise perfect. The car's F20C has also been properly maintained over the years and comes with all of the requisite documentation to prove it.

Good Buy

Overall, this AP1 is a fine example of its coveted breed, and we're not surprised that a number of eager bidders converged to drive the price up to a lofty level. With the way things are going, we'll very well look back at this result in a couple of years and call it one heck of a good buy, too.
