Low-Mile S2000 CR Sells For Eye-Watering $112K
This 985-mile CR is certainly nice, but is it six-figure nice?
Big Money
We've seen a few pristine S2000s go for big money in recent months, but it's still hard to wrap our collective heads around the idea of paying six figures for one. Perhaps we should start getting used to that idea, however, because this very nice Club Racer just sold for an amazing $112,111 over at Bring a Trailer.

Short Turnaround
As most already know, the CR wasn't produced in big numbers, and this car has a mere 985 miles on the odometer, so it's obviously special. The seller had it for less than a year, so we imagine he turned a nice profit, anyway. But when you've got a low-mile car like this that's quite valuable, driving it will only make it less so.

Flawless Exterior
The Berlina Black CR is in immaculate condition as one would expect, and wears paint protection film on the front bumper and side mirrors. All of the factory goodies are still in place, including the wheels, and the exterior is simply flawless - which isn't always the case with black paint.

Upgraded Cabin
The same goes for the gorgeous cabin, which touts a set of CR seats trimmed in black Alcantara with yellow inserts and stitching. This particular car is optioned with both air conditioning and a radio, which were not standard equipment on these track-focused cars, of course.

Maintenance
The seller did add 300 miles to the car's odometer during his time of ownership. He also performed some maintenance over the last few months, including a complete fluid change and U-joint replacement.

Interesting History
As one might imagine, this car has no accident or damage history, though the CarFax doesn't update until 2020. It also shows that the car has some history in California, and interestingly enough, the window sticker shows "CVA" in place of an MSRP.

Becoming a Thing
This Club Racer is certainly a shining example of a rare breed, but no one could have guessed it would rake in this kind of money at auction just a few years ago. But here we are, living in a world where the six-figure S2000 is quickly becoming a thing.
