Laguna Blue Pearl AP2 S2000 Features Factory Body Kit
Super clean AP2 bucks the trends with a tidy list of mods combined with low mileage and a cool color.
Different Than Most
Typically, the vast majority of Honda S2000s we see listed at Bring a Trailer are completely stock, low-mile, factory fresh examples. But this rather attractive AP2 is, well, a little bit different. In fact, it sports a host of aftermarket mods, but still fits the low-mile criteria with just 20k on the clock. And we certainly found ourselves enamored with it.

No Flip
Surprisingly, it isn't even a flip that was just purchased by someone looking to make a buck, which seems to happen a lot lately. In fact, the seller has owned the car since 2010, though they've only added 5,500 miles to it in that extended period of time.

Few Mods
The Laguna Blue Pearl beauty sports a factory aero kit, which is something you don't see terribly often these days. The previous owner also added a few modifications including a Hondata Flashpro tune, a Hondata Heatshield intake-manifold gasket, and a K&N air filter.

Nice Contrast
The factory aero kit consists of a color-matched front lip and a low-profile rear wing. They mesh nicely with the attractive color, which is complemented by a black soft top and black interior. The former has been replaced after a tear developed a few years back.

Factory Fresh
The seller reports that there are a few stone chips on the front bumper, but nothing outrageously bad. And as you might expect from such a low-mile car, the interior looks factory fresh. According to the seller, the radio was replaced by the dealership with satellite radio capability.

Lofty Peak
The seller also notes that the Hondata Flashpro was used to give the engine a tune and raise the redline to 8,500 rpm. No telling if they also bounced the car off that lofty mark a lot, but clearly they didn't enjoy it too much over the years. Service records date back to 2011, so at least we know it's been maintained.

Future Collectible
This clean AP2 most certainly seems like a good buy, especially at the $25k selling price. And with prices rising a lot lately as interest builds in Japanese collectibles, we imagine it will be a sound investment for the new owner. And who knows, maybe we'll see it pop back up on BaT in the near future!
