Has Your S2000 Ever Experienced Strange Glitches?
Honda's S2000 is known for being very reliable, but that doesn't make it completely immune to weird issues.
Never Perfect
The Honda S2000, like pretty much everything that comes from the automaker, is a very reliable vehicle. That's a big part of what has endeared it to so many enthusiasts over the years, of course. But every car, no matter how great it is, has or will experience some sort of issues at some point, and the S2000 isn't immune to that basic fact.

Stranger Things
Many of us have experienced not what one might call problems, but rather strange and random glitches that don't really make any sense. That includes The Drive, whose personal S2000 occasionally experiences some unexplainable issues that aren't really a big deal, but they're notable nonetheless.

Spontaneous Bugs
"My personal Honda S2000 hasn't had many spontaneous, unexplained bugs but it doesn't seem to respond well to acts of TLC," The Drive noted. "Like that time the radio refused to produce audio for more than a few seconds after being in a coin car wash. Or when the transmission periodically refused to go into fifth only after being in the hands of a body shop for a couple of weeks to have its front bumper repainted. (I can't prove anything but I don't think I'll be using that particular shop again for a while)."

By Comparison
Those are minor issues compared to some of the serious voodoo we've seen other makes and models suffer from, many of which wind up being crazy electrical problems that cause people to eventually give up and relegate their cars to the scrapyard.

More Serious
That includes an Mk4 Volkswagen Golf GTI once owned by another editor at The Drive, which would completely die every time the driver's side door was opened. To circumvent this problem, they had to climb in through the passenger side and start it up before quickly jumping in the driver's seat to keep it running.

Random Issues
Others shared their weird automotive experiences as well, which include a windshield washer that spewed exhaust fumes, cases of random acceleration, turn signals that had a mind of their own, and power seats that liked to adjust themselves.

Sharing Is Caring
By comparison, the small glitches we've heard from S2000 owners are nothing when measured against many other cars out there in the world. But we're curious to hear from you. So be sure and head to the forums to share your strange glitches, and see if they're isolated or common among other owners!
