Fine-Tuned S2000 for Max Enjoyment

Isaac Koduah always dreamt of owning an S2000. After several years of hard work and saving up money, he made that dream a reality. He’s since invested a significant amount of his time and money into updating the popular roadster. Check out the following slide show to learn about all of the updates Koduah made to his prized vehicle.

New lip and springs

One of the first things Koduah did to his S2000 was to modify the car’s aesthetic, and he accomplished that with a Club Racer front lip and TEIN lowering springs. What’s nice about the lip update is that it provides an immediate, clean update to the look of the car without having to invest much time or money. As for the Japanese-made TEIN lowering springs, not only do they provide the car an immediate suspension tuning, they also lower the vehicle closer to the ground — all the more reason for other drivers on the road to give it the all-important double take.

Going under the hood

Once the car had its look modified some, Koduah next tackled the S2000’s engine, deciding to go with forced induction vis-à-vis a PTUNING turbo kit. One of the reasons why he went with this ($6,000) kit, in particular, is because of the quality of its components. Included in the kit are a super bad-ass Garrett GTX3076R turbo, 3-inch downpipe, equal-length V-band manifold, and 4-inch intake. Pretty nice when they’re separate, but when they’re put together, Koduah is able to hit a whopping 450whp with 320 lb-ft of torque.

Major updates to the exterior

It would be three years before Koduah performed another modification to his prized car. But when he did decide to pick the project back up again, he went all-in and decided to update the car’s exterior with a Powerhouse Amuse GT1 widebody kit from Bulletproof Automotive. After nearly half-a-year, the 30-piece kit was delivered. It was designed and developed via a collaboration between Bulletproof and Polyphony Digital, with the goal being to add width to the chassis of the car while maintaining proper aerodynamics for maximum performance.

A whole new coat of paint

Once the body of the S2000 was updated, Koduah decided to paint the car Alpine White – a rather drastic change from its original Suzuka blue. But it fit his taste and complimented the new look of the car nicely.

Some other minor updates worth noting

While there were several other modifications made to the S2000, some of the more noteworthy items include super-lightweight pressed graphite Volk Racing TE37SL wheels, an Amuse-style carbon-fiber hardtop courtesy of Rockstar Garage, and a Voltex GT wing that addresses downforce and weight distribution when Koduah’s driving at high speeds.
