Solid Deal?

With Honda S2000 prices soaring to new levels in recent years - buoyed by a record-setting used and collector vehicle market in general - life is certainly tough for folks that want to own one of these iconic models yet don't have a giant nest egg sitting in the bank. However, there are still a few decent deals out there, a list that includes this clean 2005 model up for grabs in Houston, Texas, via Craigslist.

Well Kept

As one might imagine, there is a catch here - this particular S2000 has a substantial 165k miles on the clock, but that still shouldn't scare the Honda faithful. What's more important is that it's been taken care of and maintained properly, and that seems to be the case, as it has been paint corrected, treated to routine maintenance, and kept inside a garage.

Clean History

With just two owners, a clean Carfax, and no accidents, the seller has used this S2000 as a weekend warrior, taking it out for the occasional cruise. Outside of normal wear and tear, it looks to be in great shape, though the front bumper was repainted by the original owner at some point.

Clean Cabin

The interior is in very nice condition as well, with some typical bolster wear and little else to note. The seller has also replaced the floor mats with new OEM pieces, which is a quick and easy way to freshen up the cabin of any used car.

Maintenance Items

Then there's recent maintenance, a list that's quite long and includes a new starter and knock sensor, new fluids throughout, a greased and refreshed shifter, a new master cylinder, belts, slave cylinder, braided stainless steel clutch line, rotors, pads, and lines.

Rounded Out

Rounding out this list, the seller has also blessed this S2000 with a new valve cover gasket, spark plugs, a VTEC solenoid gasket, and a new TCT gasket to boot.

Still Available

In nice condition with nothing more than typical wear to note, this 2005 S2000 certainly seems worth its $19,800 firm asking price, but it remains available as of this writing, regardless. Perhaps the mileage is scaring off potential buyers, but those of us in the know aren't phased by that one bit, knowing how reliable these cars are when properly taken care of.
