2018 SoCal Eibach Honda Meet, Part One

Cleanest S2000s

Some of the best looking Hondas were on display at this year's SoCal Eibach Honda Meet at the California Speedway in Fontana, California. The Eibach meet is one of the largest events on the West Coast, but it wasn't always that way. The inaugural meet was 14 years ago in the Eibach Springs parking lot with about 50 vehicles. This year's meet, which took place back in May, featured 40 vendors and over 1,1000 vehicles. And, for the first time, there was actually drag racing at the event. Taking center stage were the F20 and F22 powered S2Ks, which win our vote for the best in all-around excellence. But there were plenty of cool Civics and supercars to grab some well-deserved attention.

FWD Performance

Front wheel drive cars from Civics to Preludes were in full attendance. These clean builds were as much show as they were go, with big turbos on display amidst spotless engine bays. Whatever your preferred method of speed, it was certainly here in droves.

Science of Attraction

While engines might run on chemistry, what attracts fans to venues is simple: entertainment. Plenty was on hand at this year’s event with some quarter-mile passes from various tuning shops to show off the latest and greatest in import technology. This is a great way to draw in new customers or capture the heart of a kid who may grow up to lust after a Honda of his own.

Parking Lot Show Room

Just walking through the parking lot, you could get lost in the variety of awesome builds on hand. Enthusiasm for Honda isn’t going anywhere as is evident by the time, dedication, and money put into each one of these enthusiasts cars. Look at this.

Whether you’re into supercars, drag cars, circuit attackers or the cleanest show cars it was all here at the 2018 SoCal Eibach Honda Meet. Picking a favorite is impossible which can only mean one thing: Honda tuning and enthusiasm is at an all-time high.
