The Android fanboys would debate that point!
Might as well save myself some money and pick up a NoPhone:

Audi broke today on the way back from Ann Arbor. EPC light came on and the car is running really bad.
Awesome.

Quick gewgle search came up with the following:
"there's no huge thing to worry about, pretty much any modern german car will do that, it goes into limp mode to protect itself.
sometimes you can turn it off and back on a few times and that will reset it or disconnecting/connecting battery.
epc light came on mostlikely due to an abs sensor malfunction/dsc sensors, could be as simple as something hitting a wire while driving on the road, to pinpoint just need an error code/codes."

Yeah, I read that too. It's somewhat like the misfire code in its vagueness.
Some have had an accompanying warning message saying to not exceed 4000 rpm, but mine didn't do that. It's running very rough, the entire chassis shudders when you push the gas pedal even gently. I've called Audi, they didn't sound very pleased about it, but that might be because of the Stasis ECU and that it's going to cost the dealer more money out of pocket to fix it since Stasis is no more.
Oh well, I could care less at this point as long as they have it fixed in time for us to go to Houston for turkey day.
