So I FINALLY talked to the adjuster for the diminished value claim. He is coming out tomorrow morning to take more pictures. He says that they never do anything with diminished value until the car is repaired, and they "require" the car to be repaired (yeah, me too!.)
So I am still setup for the first week of May to get the car painted. And will have to wait until after that to finalize the claim.

I called back last Thursday, they said it would be done on Monday (today.) I called today, they said Wednesday.

They shouldn't need anything BMW specific. It's just the disorganization and personnel issues at the body shop. I am not amused.
I am so worried that I will get there, and the job won't be done right. Either overspray, or things they were supposed to do, not being done. I have very little confidence in this shop at this point.

Hopefully they did/do a good job. The shop that had my S for a touch up took twice as long and didn't do a very good job. I hope your experience with this place is better.

They don't know that. Hence my point, not that I'm saying if you were then you deserve crap work, but I mean it makes you wonder. Porsche really did come off like "can't you just take your jet to work?" I'm leasing the least expensive car on the lot.

I think your negative experience is purely on the dealer, and with good reason. The dealer in Ann Arbor was really pleasant with us when we looked at a Cayenne last year, threw me the keys without any fuss at all. In hindsight, I probably should've done it and avoided the whole 5 series debacle.
The Porsche dealer in Lansing is nowhere near as approachable, they flat out ignored me when I looked at a 911 back in 09 before I got the big Merc.
