I haven't posted here lately, but I ordered an 2016 Accord Ex 6MT, and it should be here next week or so. I'm gonna miss my old A4 that has been my daily for 14 years!!! But, it's time to move on. The question is whether I have winter tires installed right away, or live with the all seasons for the remaining few months of winter.

haha yeah, it'll be all your fault once the snow starts flyin'!
I don't have snow tires for mine; it's a lease and i don't really give a shit, but if it were mine for realz i wouldn't chance it and would put snow tires on right away. Just my $0.02. I'm sure you'll love it either way!

So, I got rid of the Audi last week...and of course it won't stop snowing today. And yes, the all seasons aren't that great.

Well, I didn't do anything to my car last night, but something was done to it.
I was parked in a parking lot while at trivia. And someone backed into my car.
She barely scrapped the rear fender, it was not enough to dent it or deform it as far as I could tell, but she did scrape paint off to the metal. No paint transfer from her Toyota 4Runner, but the right rear of her fender is ALL white now.
The car is completely driveable, but it still sucks. I am not thrilled at the idea of fresh paint so close to the Dragon, but given that I've not found the time to get the car in to have the front bumper repaired from my own mishap nearly 4 yrs ago, it's time to get that resolved too. Ugh.
She did the right thing. She wrote me a note, and then came into the bar to try to find me. I was pretty chill about it. I know she didn't do it on purpose, and she DID do the right thing by finding me. I took a picture of her insurance card, but didn't get a police report. I called her insurance company this morning and they didn't ask about a police report and seem to be fine proceeding without one. So hopefully that was not a mistake.
I will be asking for "loss of value" for the car too. Since it's 9yrs old with only 25,000mi on it. I am expecting a call from an adjuster later today.

I had to replace the bumper and one tailight assembly - they couldn't find a non oem version of that unlike the bumper.

The bumper and the fender are not physically damaged. The paint is scraped to the metal on the fender all around the wheel arch.
The $900 quote is just to take the rear bumper off, prep and paint the bumper and the fender. And then reinstall the bumper.
Seems pretty high to me, but the shop is reported to be "the best" in the area.
