What I did to my non-S2000 part deux

We had a car wash / BBQ at my friend's house on Sunday. The top had some bird strikes on it, so I'd bought some convertible top cleaner and conditioner. I thought the cleaner did a very good job cleaning the top, but my friend did not have as good of an experience with the gray top on his Corvette.
I put 4 light coats of the conditioner on my top and it looks practically brand new! Love it!
Of course, it's been raining for two days, so I refuse to take the car out.

Took the Snailibu in to to have a slow leak in my right rear tire fixed.
Turns out both rear tires were shot. :/ So I ended up buying two new tires on Saturday!
Then on Sunday, CEL on the Snailibu.
Looks like cam sensors are failing. Should be covered under warranty. Taking it in tomorrow.
Planning to drive the Snalibu 5hrs to Atlanta on Thursday (and home on Monday!)

Turns out it wasn't cam sensors, so much as the VVT solenoids. They replaced both the intake and exhaust solenoids under my extended warranty.
$370 for parts and labor, my warranty has a $100 deductible. Which is probably ABOUT what it would have cost me to do the work myself.
Maybe if I had more time I might have done it myself, but it's done, so I don't mind.
BTW -- Not counting tires and brakes, that is the first mechanical work needed on the Snalibu due to something being broken. 60,000mi. That's pretty good in my book.

So that's an aftermarket warranty on the Snailibu and not certified, right?

I got one for the mini when I bought (financed) the car.

I try to go with certified ones since the warranty is usually better than the original, but yeah, aftermarket warranties definitely come in very handy.

Car was CPO.
When I bought it, it still had some of the original factory warranty.
They gave me the CPO warranty, which extended the factory bumper to bumper. I also got 2yrs of maintenance.
I bought a GM Protection Plan warranty on top of THAT.
The first two are completely expired now. The GMPP saved me $277 today. It expires in January.
Unless my engine or Transmission blows up in the next 3 mos, I don't see getting my monies worth out of the GMPP plan. :/
I probably didn't get my money worth getting the CPO either. It probably raise the cost of the car about $1000 and all I really got for that (besides peace of mind) was 5 or 6 oil changes, which couldn't be worth more than $600 on the VERY high side.

GM's CPO warranty is pretty useless, most CPO's cover to 100k miles, it's actually better than the original warranty.
You can't have over 100k on the Snailibu.
