Trust me, I've tried.

I'll go check some cars out tomorrow at the auto show, then figure out what to do.

I'm so sick of car issues. Tired of losing sleep over it. Totally not fair I'm being penalized for a manufacturers defect. VW should grow some morals and just buy my car back from me. What's the chance of that happening?????

I'm so sorry that you have to go through all this, Holly.

Holly, if it's out of commission more than 30 days in Michigan, it's a lemon. At 6-8 weeks, and the dealer not releasing info you requested, maybe it is time to call VW of America and make some demands.

Michigan lemon law is only within the first year though, we've had it 18 months.

We have a meeting with the owner of the dealership tomorrow, we are going to ask for the pictures they sent to VW and to see the car. He seems to really want to help, unlike VW CARE which was useless. We've also talked with the Fixed Operations Manager for VW for Michigan, it seems he thinks we have a good case for making VW buy us out of our car, but that's probably a long road to take.

Didn't see that. That sucks. Hopefully they pony up and do the right thing. I still want to know how you run a rivet through a harness? Especially with today's heavily engineered cars, who uses rivets any more (excluding the rivets required on the VIN plate).

Ugh. I found out earlier this week that a job I had applied for in EARLY November and interviewed for (three times) between November and December has "changed." The hiring manager wanted to hire me, but senior managment decided to "reevaluate" how the job is defined. So they are going to rewrite the enter description. I'll review the description when they repost the job, but who knows when that will be, or if I'll still want the job.

So f'ing frustrating!

It's inside the dash, the rivet they used was too long and nicked the harness, not just one wire.

It's in VW's hands now, they are trying to locate a car for us, hopefully we'll know today if they found one.

Pics of the Jetta when we saw it last week.

We told them to get us a Golf R to replace it, it will be April before it comes in.
