Yup, male cat, but fixed. Vet checked him and he's fine. I suspect he's stressed about some kind of change in the house, but it's hard to determine what. Part of it was probably that he was left alone for a few days, and that's a BIG problem considering we're going to be away for 2 weeks soon. To further complicate things, it's my roomie's cat and although it's my house, we are very close friends. Regardless, we need a solution. Peeing 5x (in a different place each time) in less than 3 days is NOT okay.

You should have the vet check for a bladder infection or kidney stones. One of our cats was just in the vet yesterday for this and it turns out she has crystals forming in her kidney (early stages of a kidney stone if I understood correctly). The reason for peeing all over is apparently the cat's way of trying to tell you something is wrong with him/her. Ours has been doing this for months now, and the crystals are just now forming. Animals have great instincts.
