I tend to plug mine in, I rarely use mine on battery power.

Same, but I was using it on campus.

Also, I make sure to take good care of my battery... always leaving it out when plugged in and on, etc.

On the plus side, when it restarted (plugged in w/ battery in), it did indeed say the battery was at essentially dead, but ran fine. I charged up the battery last night and we'll see what happens the next time I use it on that.
