Well you also have to consider the oppourtinuty cost of going to college. I've missed several oppourtinuties because of college. So instead of being able to start work right away, I've had to pay money to a school that isn't really teaching me anything. Just so that I can get a starting salary that's a little higher? I suppose to problem is not that college is bad, it's that working for other people is bad.
Argh.. this is why I have so much trouble with school. I can't convince myself that I need it and I can't stay motivated. This is part of the reason I'm so bummed. I've started thinking about what classes I have to take next semester.

Plus, I want to be a Financial Consultant. What are the chances of me consultanting companies without a degree. Even would experience no companies/corporations would allow me to handle their monies. I would have to be a very lucky person.
can count on luck...with that...or even with life.

getting a degree does not guarantee success. yeah...you basically spend all those years learning something that, for the most part, is not what is applicable in your actual job. i see it as a piece of paper that certifies you to your employer that you're capable.
for most people, you need a college degree to have the doors open up. if you can find these opportunities without one, that's even better. most people dont' have that luxury.
