Chicago apartments
#1
A friend of mine is moving to Chicago in early December and needs to find an apartment. His work schedule (travel early monday, work long hours all week, travel back friday evening) doesn't leave a lot of time for searching, so I thought I'd ask some of you hosers for suggestions...
- He'd prefer to be in near north, wrigleyville, lincoln park, etc
- Near the red line is a must
- A fairly good size. He wants a 3 BR but I don't know if that's doable in the budget
- Don't think a garage/space is a necessity
- cat/small dog okay
- He is NOT interested in buying a condo.
- Budget is $1200-1500 / month
Suggestions on good buildings/specific neighborhoods would be great.

3BR for wrigleyville & lincoln park is roughly $2k/month. in wrigleyville, look around addison/sheffield (red line). lincoln park, at fullerton/sheffield (another red line stop). with his budget, he's looking at either a very nice 1BR, pretty good 2BR or a real crappy 3BR.

haha, maybe. my friend in atlanta does real estate...he said he makes one sale and gets paid about as much as a month's salary at a normal job. but then he doesn't work until he's about to run out of money so he doesn't really get rich.

Had to move this to WC...Pete's got a control on the off-topic whoring, so no worries on not getting this question/request taken care of for you and your buddy.
