xxr sportmax rims
I bought my first 2000 s2k couple weeks ago. I drop down 1 inch rear and .7 inch front, now I want to get nice rims for it. I was looking at these
XXR Sportmax 006
Front: 17x8
Rear: 17x9
Lug Pattern 5x114.3
Offset +35
Yokohama AVS ES100
Front: 225/45/17
Rear: 255/40/17
Will these rims and sizes fit the s2k without rubbing the fender?
suggestions will be greatly be appreciated.

My suggestion for the fronts would be to find an offset in the mid-40's to mid-50's (if you plan to use an 8" wide wheel), and the rear offset should be in the 50's-60's (if you plan to use a 9" wide wheel).

17x 8" F / 9" R +35
maybe with a 205/225 tire setup..
you will need to roll, cut, relocate tab etc.
xxr or sportmaxx wheels are garbage imo. you could always go a step up for the same price with some rotas, and they will fit better. 0.02

I currently have Sportmaxx 962 wheels, 18in but same offsets and similar tire sizes (225 40 18 and 255 35 18) The backs will rub alot and the fronts every now and then. Sportmaxx wheels are also HEAVY!!! Mine are 24 and 26lbs, 17s are about 20lbs a piece I think and bend easily. I know they are cheap ($150ish per wheel) but spend the extra $$ and get something better. It will also pay to get something better and lighter due to gas. My car lost alot of MPGs with these cuz of the weight.
If your looking at cheap, try Rota wheels. They are about the same price and better than sportmaxx.

Sportmax are like anchoring your car down. If you don't track & do street runs you're ok. You can grandma your car around town just fine. My 17 962s are as heavy as the sins I've commited. I can't even begin to imagine 18s... F$%K. Thankfully there on my MR2 & that beast can handle it. =D
