Unless your S is completely stock, then you're probably sheepishly following some silly fad statement too. And I have no problem with that.
OEM camber? Cool

Every modification on my car serves a purpose, to enhance my driving experience and to allow me to go faster, safer. Most of these modification happen to look good as well, but that's because I designed and made most of them with speed in mind. I can say with confidence no one has a S2000 that looks exactly like mine, and if there is, its because they copied it off the few scarce pics of it on this or other websites.

OEM/stock, whatever, you know what I mean, no need to fake the funk.

If you're looking for wheels that are like XXR 521s I think they are replicas of Work Vs-xx

On another note, I don't see why people hate on rims that are "look a likes" because there are a couple of reputable brands out there that have identical looking wheels (SSR Professor and Work Meister)

On another note - I personally do not like the hella flush scene, anything lower than flush fitment IMO looks dumb and ruins the car. I don't have an s2000 yet but I am in the market for one but I know why I'm getting one - they are just so damn fun to drive. I wouldn't want to ruin it by slapping 18x10+25 weels on it and driving slow... To me it's like slamming an Evo to the ground and running excessive negative camber, what are you going to do with that AWD goodness that the Evo offers if you can't even drive it right? Same philosophy with the s2000. But I am no hater to replica parts, but there is no way my s2000 will have replica parts on it especially my wheels (aside from a lip or hardtop due to being a college student)

I don't think anyone if bashing these wheels for having a similar style to another wheel because yes you are right there are plenty of companies that use similar designs. However the difference is the Works and SSR's are high quality wheels. XXR however is on par with drag or most other cheapo wheels. Its a little like saying gucci and LV are replicas of each other because they make similar looking things however the knockoffs of either are lower quality. Or if the style is the only thing that matters why did you buy an S2000 instead of a miata? Miata's are cheaper, look similar etc. You didn't cheap out of the car why cheap out on the wheels?

I understand not having the money for $3k worth of wheels for a $15k car. However that doesn't mean you cannot find plenty of good options that are higher quality that are not that much more if you are willing to look. I think if these wheels were availible in just slightly more friendly sizes for the S2000 and actually offered more info on weight (the XXR website has so little info it is incredible) they wouldn't be so hated. Also if people would actually just search and read one of the 7000 threads about these it wouldn't be so annoying to see a thread about them every week.

You bought an s2000 not a civic. No offense but if you buy a nice car, atleast buy decent products for it.

Dude straight up, if this is the case then don't get aggressive wheels. If you want anything like the standard specs that guys get in the 521's then get ready for a flat roll + pull on fenders, relocating the bumper attachment points, trimming down inside of the rear bumper, and -3 camber at the very least.

I suppose high quality means lighter and stronger material right? So unless you're racing and trying to lower your times, there really isn't a point to getting the expensive/high quality wheels if you're just commuting, other than trying to look like a baller. And that's where the brand name bags and purses come in, comparing those to wheels makes me think you're just a materialistic chic. If you want to show off how much money you make, why buy a Honda? I dont see the point in getting expensive wheels just for the sake of getting expensive wheels, especially for a Honda.

People get these low offset wheels because they want "their" Honda to have a certain look, and proper fitment doesn't give them that look. So it's all their own personal preference, just like your choice in color of wheels.

And don't kid yourself, you love seeing these threads come up so you can spread your negativity, and I find it entertaining that you do so.

Dude, he said he wants to get over fenders, he wont need crazy camber.

What about the fronts? GL fitting that easily.

Also, I think it's worth pointing out that people don't have to buy wheels new. There are plenty of people here who go through wheels like girls go through shoes So ideally, find a decent quality set of wheels used in at least a close to proper fitment. If you REALLY want an aggressive look and you don't track it, put spacers on it. Then you can have your flush look, while still being able to go back and put some real rubber on it if/when you want to.

Side note, I seriously don't understand your argument of "why buy expensive wheels for a Honda?". It's an S2000. It MSRP'd for 30k+. If you don't comprehend this, then I think you're on the wrong forum
