Wondering what tires to run on?
I'm looking into getting some 18" wheels for the good ol' s2000 and I was just wondering what size tire I should use to keep total diameter of "wheel + tire" the same as stock?

Depends on the width, 225/40 front and 255/35 rear is very common.

It looks like the only 18's that would fit on the S2000 for that wheel are the 18x9 +45. You could squeeze the 18x9.5 +40 on the rear and then use the 18x9 +45 for the front but I would just run 18x9+45 all the way around with a 245/35/18.

Stock overall diameter? I say if you want that in a 18" then go with a wheel that will accommodate a 245/35 front and 285/30 rear. 9/10" stagger would be fine depending on offset( 9.5/11" optimum) Otherwise its 215/40 - 245/35 and seems rather pointless to make the switch from 17 to 18" in that case due to the extra weight and cost if you aren't taking advantage of the available larger widths.
INMOP 18's generally look too large on a small car like the S2k, this is especially compounded by running near stock tire widths, it makes the car look like its on stilts from the rear, especially with more aggressive offsets where the stance is most visible. My general rule is run 17" up to 255/40 and if more tire is wanted/needed switch to 18's and take advantage of the wider available widths. I broke the rules on that however, but my set up is custom. If I had to do it again I would follow this rule.

Then you would want to run either 215/45R17 or 225/45R17 front and 245/40R17 or 255/40R17 rear. Sizes are going to depend on what the width and offset of the wheels you choose is going to be. If you do not want to modify anything stay with a higher offset wheel.
If I can help let me know.
