Default Winter tire sizes

I spoke to someone at the tire rack and was told that I could use 205/55/16s on ASA rims all around. Does that sound right:confused

Nope. The real wheels are wider than the front, therefore, you need the stock size tires (225 50 16) on the rear factor size wheels for proper seating for the tires. Tires not wide enough could cause problems of blow-outs if you hit curves or objects in the roads. The wheels can't be rotated either due to the directional tires. Be cafeful of others trying to sell you something cheaper. You pay for what you get and that may be your life with a high performance car .

If you are not up grading to a larger diameter or wider wheels, I suggest you remain in stock position with tire selection..

Happy Speeding!

Philly G,

One thing I need to ask, what size are the front and rear ASA wheels?

You can go with the 16X7 with the 205/55R16 all the way around but I would recommend to still stagger the tires even though the wheel is the same size front and rear.
You would probably get better snow traction with the narrower tires on the back but I would not recommend it.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you
