Default Will this wheel size fit?

Hey all,

After looking around for wheels to put on my s2000 I have decided that I like the Enkei PF01's

There is a set available in the following size:

Rear: 18x8.5 +48 offset
Front: 18x8 +45 offset

Does anyone run this size? Does it fit and look good?

Offset's and all that confuse me a lot.

I plan on lowering the car eventually, but only down to 100mm (legal, cops around here pick on everything)

Why not 18x8.5 +48 all around, and go staggered on tire size?

Actually, I'd MUCH sooner go 17x9 +60 PF01s all around.

I also would do 17x8 +50/17x9 +60 if you want staggered or 17x9 +60 all around if you want to transition to nonstaggered. If you are stuck on getting 18s, I would do 18x8 +45 and 18x9 +45 but you have to roll fenders.

I'd still go with 17x9 +60 all around for staggered, and go with 235/40-17 fronts and 255/40-17 rears (or some such...).
225/45-17 on 9" would be a bit of a stretch, just outside recommended rim width range, but doable...

It depends on your goals for the car. For a track/performance oriented car, do the 17s. If you're willing to sacrifice a little performance for looks, go with the 18s. But in order for the 18s to look good, you're going to have to slam the car... Which you mentioned wasn't your goal.

I can't go 9 inches wide here in victoria because it voids my insurance. I can't go any more than 2 inches wider than stock.

The 18s and the 17s have very little differeance in weight, I thought 18s would perform better due to lower profile.

Ohh cause you have AP1 wheels huh...that sucks. If you had an AP2, 9" would only be 2" wider than stock.

Well, do you want to roll your fenders? If you don't, just go with a staggered setup: Enkei PF01 in 17x8 +50 and 17x9 +60 and stock tire sizes.

Not necessarily... Tire choice is going to determine sidewall stiffness to a greater extent than aspect ratio.

Yeah, the laws suck, I doubt I would get done for it but I'm pretty sure it voids my insurance if I run wheels wider than I'm meant to.

The fenders were already rolled when I bought the car.
