overseas especially japan made cars have better engineered designs.. usdm designs arent engineered as well.
main cause is that labor is japans strongsuit and they have 10x the workers working 10x as hard to get stuff done. whereas the US motto is to work just hard enough to not get fired which causes delays

this is why japan can make a civic and have not one spyshot and have it first be seen the day they open containers here in US..

wheras the mustang has spyshots 8-12 months before its even produced.

not sure exactly the business your in but Japan has a much better grasp on production of goods versus the uS

btw i wasnt discrediting the fact these are USDM.. just saying that when you see a wheel that lists backspacing as inches then it more than likely wont fit because they design the wheels differently.

oem wheels are heavy.. 16" sotkcers..

id buy a set of wheels that are made 10" wide rears and 6.5" fronts and haveem be strong and light..

or call up the people who make these wheels above and ask if u can get a thicker bad pad.. if you look at the wheel the backpad is as thin as the wheel cause again.. usdm drag cars have drumsin back or nothing at all..

You seemed to have missed the point that is not the actual wheel pic I posted that is a visual representation of the design of the wheel

Not to bust your bubble or anything but most people who sport the 15x10 are usually sporting brakes just a bit bigger and better than drum brakes (I guess you havent gone to the drag strip much as you would know this)

Also had you read my original post it says +65mm offset on the rears (this is the same offset as stock if I rember correctly)

Also rember most the jdm wheels out there arnt made/designed for 3000lb cars with 1000+ hp on slicks making 4+ g launches, I am willing to sport a bit extra weight for the added insurance the wheel wont brake on me (a reason why people are afraid of bogart over weld)

I am not saying I will be making 4+ g launch but weld does make wheels for 90% of the worlds fastest cars (cars that make 8 g launches) I would rather stick with them as opposed to some company that I see little 2000lb cars braking wheels in 1.5-2 g turns...

Ok I just got off the phone with weld here are the wheels they suggested to me
Rears:
Rim Diameter (in): 15 in.
Rim Width (in): 10.00 in.
Backspacing (in): 6.000 in.
Offset (mm): +12.00mm
Rim Material: Forged aluminum
Center Material: Forged aluminum
Wheel Finish: Polished
Wheel Construction: 3-piece
(told they would clear all control arms and brakes but will stick out 1" of fender, fender flare time )
Fronts:
Rim Diameter (in): 17 in.
Rim Width (in): 4.5in
Backspacing (in): 2.25in
Rim Material: Forged aluminum
Center Material: Forged aluminum
Wheel Finish: Polished
Tell me what you think of these new sizes
