SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND!!!

245/45/16 would be the widest I would run safely.

They look slightly bulged. I don't think they make anything wider that will fit right.

As for a specific rim suggestion

ssr type c rs
17 x 9.5 + 65

You could run a 275/40/17 in the rear without rubbing

get CCW's in like a 17x10+70 or something and you can fit a 275

why do you need so wide of a tire though?

why so wide?
the fastest s' have done it on either a 255/40/17 non- stag or 255 rear staggard setup.
While the 255 non-staggered is very popular in the JDM circle, there are plenty of fast S2000's running with NASA or SCCA that run tires way larger then 255.

I would say 255/40R17 would be a good size. You will need the correct offset to run it without rubbing. I have seen some 275/40R17 as well with some high offset wheels and possible fender lip roll and negative camber.

With a high enough offset, a 275 is totally possible without rolling fenders or running lots of camber. I like the "look" of a wide tire as well so I think I know where he's coming from.

OP- If you run a wheels that's around 10.5" wide with a +65 or so offset, you'll be able to safely run a 275 tire easily. A 285 is possible as well actually. You just really have to be careful of tire height when you start going that wide.
