Default Wider stock wheels?

dunno if this applies to this section or another, but its modification lol and not technicaly wheel and tire... shrug.

here and there i hear bout people widening their stock wheels and i just picked up a new set of wheels, TSW Nurburgrings, and i wanna see if i can get my stock wheels widened and powder coated for a set of spare track wheels... Just never found a place or seen where they actualy had it done...

You understand that widening OEM wheels like that just makes relatively heavy wheels even heavier, increasing unsprung weight and reducing performance.
You are better off buying an after market wheel that is designed to be wide to start with.
TR Motorsports C3s 17X9s look very similar to OEM wheels and in addition to being wider are lighter than OEM wheels.
