It might fit with a 185 section tire on it.

When u widen rims the widening is done only on the inside. The off set will go up by 1/2 of the amount you at widening. So the stock 17x7+55 front rim widen 3 inches will be come a 17x10+93. A 25mm spacer will bring the offset down to +58 which should be about perfect to barely clear the control arms at full steering lock.
I'm currently running widen oem 17x7+55 front ap2v1 rim widen 3 & 1/2 inches to 17x10.5+99 with a 32mm spacer for the back of the car making the offset +67. When there tires die I will run this Widen rpf1.

I finally got my rpf1s on. The inside of the 17x11.5+63 actually hit the inside very slightly. I could have probably gotten away with a 3mm spacer. But instead I had asm fender flares put on and had the rear oem fender cut and welded. I'm now running a 15mm spacer making the rear rim setup a 17x11.5+48. After these tires die there should be enough room for a 315/35/17 tire.
Front is the stock rolled fenders with the standard 17x9+45 with a 255/40/17 kumho xs.
Since this rim started life as a 17x9.5+38 and Im running 15mm spacers. The poke of my setup would be the same as a 17x9.5 +22. I'm also only running -1.5 rear camber.
Also I'm still on stock suspension. I bought some bilstein pss9 but the rear reservoir are much bigger than stock and hit the inside of my rims so I had to sell the coilovers.

So you and Junky need to be calling Kumho daily to get them to make this size again or the 315. The 315 shows as "on backorder" on tire rack and I would bet that means out of stock. Though I get there is a few options for the 315 size like the NT05, NT01 and toyo R888's.

Well consider the tire choices. You have the R888 which is a rcomp so not really a daily driver tire along with hoosiers and oether race only tires. Then there is 2 crappy tire options a max summer and a ultra summer or something and thats pretty much it especially for 17's in the 315 size. Think about the market for that size tire. To my knowledge there isn't an OEM or aftermarket 17 that comes in the 11.5 inch wide size you and junky are running (at least no off the shelf wheel I am sure CCW or some custom wheel comapany would make it but they would probably caution against it due to limited tire options).
Once you bump to 18's there is plenty of 295 options and the 315 would require more fender modification like you went through so that keeps most from running the 315 and it seems like they don't have many tire options in that size either. There is an extremely small market for the 295/35/17 and I am actually shocked there is more options for the 315 as that seems like an even smaller market but maybe they are more common for the more extreme classes in SCCA or other racing applications. This is the risk you take when you make something.
For all the money you have spent widening 2 sets of wheels and now cutting your quarter panels (something I think you were against when you first started talking about all this) you could have bought a brand new set of Forgestars or hell probably CCW's in 18's but the same width and offset and had several 295/30/18 tire options. Yes they cost more per tire but at least you can buy the damn things.

After my current kumho xs die I still have another new set in storage. And if there is no 295/35/17 replacement by that time. I'll going to try the nitto nt05 in 315/35/17 on my current rims. With my asm over fenders I should have enough room for the 315's.
