Why so many without center caps?
Howdy all, I've been a long time member and have recently gotten the itch to upgrade my all stock 2001 s2k. I'm looking at doing rims/tires first. After searching through tons of threads/pics, it looks like there are a bunch of you on here who run your nice wheels without center caps....can someone tell me why? Is it a look thing or do they not fit properly?
Specifically I think I'm liking Volk rims in gunmetal...thanks!

I run it on most of my wheel sets but sometimes the caps are just hideous in design. also some race associations do not allow center caps because the center caps sometimes will fly off when the wheels flex from the g forces.
during one of my run through the local canyons 3 out of 4 of my 5zigen center caps flew off...

Center caps are NOT available for my Work Emotion wheels... As was mentioned, I also agree that for racing they may not be permitted because of the hazard if the fly off the car at speed.
