WHO MAKES RIMS WITH +50f and +60r offsets?????????
OK,
I know that the optimum TIRE size is 225/40/18f and 255/35/18r
What is the Rim width f and r for the tire size above? is it 18x8r and 18x9r? or 18x7.5 or 18x8.5????? I'm losing my mind!
Now, who makes rims with such a high offset? I really want to go with Volk and I see them on some S's but how did they get the required offsets......I don't see any rim going over +50.......I'm getting freaking frustrated.
help me out guys........I never had this problem with my 2nd gen eclipse....

That's what I thought......
someone posted that you need +60 on the rear and then someone else tells me that +60 is too much...........Volk's highest offset for the 18x9 is +50.
will 18x8 225/40/18 +45 front and 18x9 255/35/18 +50 work without rubbing? Anyone running these currently?

I'm looking at the Volk GT7's
I know someone running 18x7.5 +45 front and 18x8 +50 rear with 225/40f 255/35r with no problems.
I just want to increase the rim widths to 18x8f +45 and 18x9r +50 same size tires as above.
Need to see if someone is running this size wheel tire package with out any issues.
Thanks.

It all depends upon what size tires you run and I don't mean rated size!!
Rated sizes are just "suggestions" as I have found out the hard way. I have seen over a 2" variation in actual width in the same rated size tire.
I can tell you that with narrower rear tires than stock (but rated at 255) and 54 offset my rears rubbed big time.
I can also tell you that with 10.2" wide rears (same size rating) they will rub with a 63 offset.
Both rubs can be fixed with some quality time with a dremel and hammer as the rubbing is only on the attachement point of the liner to the fender. There is a bracket that sticks out and you can trim the length and bend it up to give clearance.
48 front worked with a basically stock width tire.
BTW my car is stock suspension and stock height so if you lower it all bets are off.
