Default When to put on snow tires and should I balance the

I just bought a new set of wheels with snow tires so I could go back and forth in the winter without having to get the tires put on every year. I want to put them on myself but I wonder if I need to get the wheels balanced or is their any special care I should look into or can I just put my car on a jack and do it myself?

Temp is the determining factor. At 45 degrees the winter tires will work teir best. If the tires are already on wheels there would not be any reason to rebalance.
