Wheels and correct Offsets??
Hello Everyone.
Okay I have looked at a lot of various posts regarding tires/wheels. Searched and still not sure what is the answer. I want to run the 17 or 18 OZ superleggras. But I do not want to have any rubbing issues. I do drive the car aggressively. I am not sure what is the offset one needs to run to not have any rubbing, I was looking at adding the adj comptech springs further down the road. Is there a proven set up that works with out rubbing? and if so what wheels , tires and offsets are they ! I greatly appreciate any info!
Thanks again

Bud,
If you want the car pretty low...you need really high offsets.
When I say low, I mean the top to of the tread is real close to the fender.
My car is not too low so my insufficient offset is o.k..
I have a tight 2 finger gap between my tires and my fender.
18x7.5 +48mm, 225/40/18
18x8.5 +50mm, 255/35/18
This setup will not work if my car is any lower.
I think the OZ's have a decent offset.
I thought I once saw specs like this:
18x9, +65mm...this is a good setup for the rear.

Thanks unicorn!
I'm not looking to really lower the car much, I was going to go with the comptech more for the stiffer springs, I may drop the car 1/4 to 1/2 inch but not more. I just dont want to get wheels and then have them rub. I noticed you are running 18x 7.5 up fronts the OZ are 18x8 . Is the problem more likely to be in the front or rear? Ideally I would like to run the same tire sizes you do, do you have any rubbing issues?

The OZ wheel is 18X8 front ET48 and 18X9 ET55. I haven't had any problems with the OZ wheels. Some don't like the look on the front of the car. You may have to run a little negative camber though.
