hi again, almost arrived at a decision...
The Mille Miglia Evo5 i look perfect IMO, but are they good as regards to strength and most importantly weight?
Since u guys say 18's can be in the same diameter with the stock i would go for the 225/35/18 up front, and 245/35/18 (or do you think 255) in the back. of course, if there not SO2's
I think it sounds correct, and await your criticism
p.s. does any1 know if they how much they weigh exactly?
thanks guys

I had done a lot of research on this myself and hear is what I did.
I had opted to go performance over looks but thought that the larger wheel looked so much better I would do something.
Looked a King's web site, and Mugan is using light weight 17s to up performance. Since they do lot of research, I ended up doing the same.
Put on 17 * 7 1/2 and 17 * 8 1/2 BBS RGRs. Tires are S03 214 45 17 and 245 40 17.
I had checked on the wheel weight before and was told that the Mugens were about 3 lbs under stock. The BBS were about 1lb more than Mugans. (Mugans look like Volk and weight is close.)
I thought I might end up loosing some weight with this combo, but hear is what I got.
Weighted front and rear stock combo with worn tires and got 40 lbs on front and 40 lbs on rear?
Weighed new combo and got 40 lbs front and 44 lbs rear.
Since this seemed strange, front the same as the rear stock? I weighed left and right rears.. Do to where I drive, the left rear weighed 42 lbs, or 2 move than right. Right tire was totally gone, left was close, but a little more tread. Front tires were between 1/2 to 3/4 worn out, same left to right.
Looking at this I feel that I have reduced weight because the stock fronts are the same worn as new fronts. Looks like new verses worn out tires may be as much as 4lbs change.
By the way, old tires were also S03s.
I hope this helps.

What are the offsets and widths for the "Mille Miglia Evo5"?
If the offsets are not high enought...the wheel/tire may stick out of the well.
Besides looking funky, you may have a rubbing issue if the car is lowered.
If you want to run 225/40/18 and 255/35/18...you need at least:
18x7.5 +48mm
18x8.5 +50mm
above are the TE37's specs. And I still rubbed on occation with 225 & 255, and a 2 finger drop with Comptech Coil overs.
The Ideal offset and widths for 225 & 255 is:
18x8 +55mm
18x9 +65mm
Closest to those specs are the Workmeister S2R's (dunno if I spelled that correct):
18x8 +53mm
18x9 +60mm

If you are like me 18's will really slow you down on the street. Investing a couple grand on a set of tires and wheels you certainly will slow down to avoid the city pot holes. Can you say taco. 35 series tires don't offer much protection, so if the roads are fair to poor go with the 17's.
