I am getting closer to getting some new wheels and I have finally decided on 17" as I want the lightweight and the looks and don't want to worry excessively about bending a rim. I figured the wheel gurus could help me out.

To sum up my requirements,
17"
Silver or chrome finish
Lightweight forged (must be lighter or equal to stock)
Good fit on S2k (no big overhang like the Spoons)
Total package price (with tires) around $3000 or lower

I know Racing Hart and Volk fulfill these requirements but who else? Fiske and HRE are too damned expensive and I don't want any of those big ass fancy heavy wheels that are all show and no go.

Suggestions on manufacturers to investigate? I haven't completely ruled out 18". Any in this size I should check out.

I just weighed my 18" TE37's today. The rears weigh 40lbs with tires and the fronts weigh 38lbs, which makes it lighter than the stock rim/tire combo.

The bronze doesn't do much for me. Plus after S&H they come up to about 2500 without tires yet. Little on the high side for me. I would spend it if the wheels were that badass but I don't think they are.

How much does the stock wheel/tire combo weigh?

The tooling and the shape of the wheels allows for the wider wheel to be the same weight.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

The SSR GT1 would be lighter than the OE wheels. They are available in the 17X7, 17X7.5 and 17X8. We have them all in stock currently. They are a forged wheel so they would be strong as well as light.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you
