wheel spacer
id like to ask a question that may be silly. im installing the spoon calipers soon. i have ADVAN RG-2 wheels 17s 7.5 inch width on the front. i dont rmmber the offset but its the most common one for the s2k with the advan wheels.
i know that it will require a 10mm spacer to fit the calipers. that would make the wheel clear the caliper but also would make (as if) the offset is more aggressive and wheel position will be more (out to the fender) by the 10mm.
so my question is: will that affect the car balance and handling that only the front offset is changed? do you recommend that i also add 10mm spacers for my 8.5 inch rear wheels so the 10mm change in offset be in the 4 wheels and maintain the balance?
please help.

If you use a 10mm spacer the wheels and tire will be out toward your fender 10mm more. Remember that you will also need longer lug nuts. Make sure you have enough room at the fenders as well. A wider track will give you a little better handling. Make sure the wheels are still hub centric or you are going to have some vibrations.

thanks for your feedback. but should i add the spacer only to the fronts? or to all the wheels?
ie having a wider track of 10mm upfront, would that require to widen the rear track to maintain the balance?
thanks,

Just to correct Jim a little bit, you won't need longer lug nuts, you'll need longer STUDS. And then depending on how longer the studs are, you may need either extended or open ended lugs.
In terms of the balance....depends on how much "on the limit" driving you do. For every day street driving, you probably won't notice anything.
Try the fronts only and see how it feels.

i have just ordered T1R alluminum lug nuts, are they considered long? if not, which lug nuts should i buy?
thanks alot

sorry to steal your thread but was wondering if i can clear the spoon calipers with 17 7.5 50+ offset on Volks LE28 with a 10mm spacer or do you think i'll need 15mm?
Thanks
Thanks
I am debating if I should go with wider fenders, or raise the car. However, if I raise the car, I still want to retain a 1.5 finger gap at the most.
