I have a 03 S2000 with stock wheels. I'm looking into upgrading the wheel to 17's but my choice was Enkei J10. I know the wheel diameter on the front and the rear are different, mainly for it handling and safety reason. I would like to still keep the go-kart handling but the Enkei J10 only come in 17x7 5-114. I would be nice if they have one that is 17x8.5 d-114. What do you guys think, and what would you guys recommend on wheel choices?

 

diameter stagger like the NSX (aka 16 inch front and 17 inch rear)

or

width stagger? like your stock wheel 17x7.5width and 17x8.5width in the back?

the car is very tail happy for most folk as it, dont get any smaller rear tire width if you ask me.

The diameter of the front and rear tires is the same. The width of the factory wheels and tires are different front to rear. I would not recommend a wheel that only comes in a 17X7 if you want to keep the handling. You need to find a wheel with a 1" to 1 1/2" wider rear wheel so you can stagger the tires.

Yeah, sure I would like to get some help on selecting a set of wheels for my AP1. Right now I'm looking at 5zigen, since enkei doesn't have the selection that I want. What would you recommend, by the way I would like multi spoke like 10 max.
