Wheel recommendations....
hey guys-
tried seaching, but nothing.....
I am looking to get a new set of wheels and tires. I like the look of 17's on this car (18's are a bit too much for me). I have a Silverstone MY00. I am looking at a gunmetal finish to contrast the paint a bit. i like the look of a lip on the wheels....had a set of Enkei RS-5's on my Celica, and HATED them, as the rim stuck out past the tire sidewall!
I like the Axxis Mod7, but those are only 18"+ and are outta my $ range.
Any suggestions?
John

I've got a set of three week old OZ Superleggeras in 17's wrapped around by Yokohama AVS ES100's.
Click for more details!
I'm asking $1250 + shipping (~$120-150), but I'd be willing to do $1350 shipped! I would waive the PayPal fees and discount the shipping charges too. They're practically brand new!! I got them locally for $1650. PM or email me (gary_phd@yahoo.com).
Bright Silver Paint
17x7Front
Wheel Offset: +45mm
Rim weight: 15.9 lbs
with 225/45-17 (tire weight 25 lbs)
17x8 Rear
Wheel Offset: +48mm
Rim weight 17.6 lbs
with 245/40-17 (tire weight 26 lbs)
They're really light, look great, and are very strong!

with that price range (especially for wheels and tires), hate to say it but you're pretty much SOL. I think the ASA's on tirerack.com are probably the only decent NEW wheels and tires you could go for. with S03 you're looking at 1452.00 before shipping and taxes. But the OZ that gary_phd are IMO a better quality and a great price.

Yeah...I kinda figured I would have to be around $2k for a decent set. I just really like the lipped look (more of a deep-dish). I do not want to "settle" on wheels, as they are a HUGE part of the overall look. Dont want any regrets. I guess I will just save up another few months and get a pair of AXXIS 18" wheels....question is if they come in the offset I need...
The OZ's are nice, but not the look I am going for.
Thanks
John

Keemosabi is right. Its really hard to find wide wheels with high offsets that will fit in your price change. However, if you really want the wide look, I would save up and order a custom made wheel from Work Wheels, Kinesis, HRE etc. Again, this is very much outside your listed budget

if your interested i can probably get you a decent deal on 17s from Jline, but it would be in the approx 2000 range, however they make wheels to order so offset should not be a problem if interested pm me thanks
