wheel painting scheme..lemme kno wat you think
I have a set of ap1 wheels that I need to hold me over until I buy wheels in the spring, so I decided to paint them. This is what I thought of...I have a GPW 03 s2k..
MY grandmas an artist...so Im going to have her do the Lettering in gold.....then clear over everything once I get them back.

So... a white car and silver rims with gold lettering? At this point I think I'd just leave the wheels as-is. If you paint them, it'll likely hurt the resale value in a few months.

I would keep them as is if you are getting wheels soon anyways. If you do decide to do it, I would highly recommend you get actual wheels paint, or order actual car paint to spray them. You can get pretty much any color you want compressed into a spray can for cheap here: www.automotivetouchup.com
I did my ap1 wheels Silverstone on my Suzuka s2k, and it looked great. Held up a lot better than my previous cheap rattle can job, and the actual wheel paint suprisingly.
Ohh and btw, you got mad drawing skills on Paint.

haha thanks man..but nah the wheels are white and I went with black lettering and im not concerned with the resale value of 250$ wheels lol. Ill post a pic of the center caps I did already.
On my last car I painted my wheels twice in the winter and it held up perfectly...you just have to spend time on it and know how to prep and paint.

thanks a lot man, and yeah I think I can pull it off. Like I said I have a lot of experience w wheel painting, and im sure my grandma will do a good job on the lettering. I actually laid out the H for her to paint on the center cap as well rather than spraying them..I will post pics up of the final results after I clear them
