Whats the proper way to store tires?
I did a quick search but did not see anything...
I have a second set of rims / tires that came off another owners S2000. What's the proper way to store the tires / rims? They are factory mounted.

Ideally, you want to store tires standing up. That is...you don't want them stacked on top of one another on their sides a la Michelin Man style. A friend and I made a contraption that sits high on your garage wall, basically made of 2x4s where tires can rest standing up, next to each other. I will take some pics and post later if I can.

Cool, dry, out of sunlight, low air pressure, preferably mounted on wheels that are supported by a rod so that none of the tire is carrying a load. They should also not be stored near any electrical motors or devices that may generate ozone. This includes furnaces, compressors, and dehumidifiers.
If the tires are unmounted see above but don't store on the rod.
If tires are only to be stored for a few months they can be stored standing up with little worry of anything else.
The reason to avoid stacking is so that the tire on the bottom isn't carrying the weight of the others. Tires can be stored on their sides otherwise.

Put them in a garbage bag and stack them one on top of the next flat on the side.
You want to keep the tires out of the elements and away from the heat and cold. If you don't have a basement then the garage is fine.
If you have any other questions let me know.
Thank you
Jim
