One seems to be as good as the other.

They have reviews and tests of those tires on tirerack.com. The neovas and RE-01Rs were both included in the same test and the RE-01R won overall. I'm personally getting the RE-01Rs in AP1 sizes. I know that the RE-01R rear tires have a little less tread width and the fronts have a little more tread width that S02s, but I'm getting them anyway. I'll let you know how they are

I just did an autox with the RE-01r's and I'm really impressed. Only weird thing is that the rear seemed to want to come out more on my last run then the previous runs - maybe I was just running the car harder, maybe I should have wet them between runs, etc. I'm really liking these tires though. They give good feedback and hold real well. There was a part of the autox that was a big circle - essentially a skid pad - I can see how tire rack got 1g on their BMW test car. I would like to test the Neova's but I don't think they come in AP1 sizes.

Tech notes:
Tires weren't fully broken in yet - 100 miles at best on them. I ran 44psi in front, 39 in back (cold). I'm running on AP1 sizes. Saner front bar on least stiff (might move up to middle stiffness). And I'm in desperate need of an alignment.
